Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
Our office staff will meet you when you arrive at the airport and take you to your hotel. Nepal’s capital city, Kathmandu, is central to the political and cultural life of the nation. Combining the cities of Patan and Kathmandu, the Kathmandu Valley is the dynamic center of the Kingdom, brimming with customs and history.
Day 2: Explore Kathmandu
Take a cultural tour of Kathmandu’s most important holy locations this morning. Visit Pashupatinath, the famous Hindu temple complex in Nepal devoted to Lord Pashupatinath, first. Located 5 kilometers northeast of the Kathmandu Valley on the banks of the Bagmati River, this UNESCO World Heritage site is a hallowed meeting spot for holy sadhus and Hindu worshippers.
After that, travel to Bouddhanath, a major Buddhist pilgrimage site where devout Buddhists from all over the world congregate and are renowned for their enormous stupa.
After that, travel to Patan, sometimes referred to as Lalitpur or the “City of Beauty.” Patan, which is located across the Bagmati River from Kathmandu, is well-known for its old architectural marvels and elaborately designed temples, including Durbar Square, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Visit Swayambhunath, also referred to as the “Monkey Temple,” to round up the day. The painted eyes of Buddha watch over everyone who ascends the stone stairs of this fifth-century stupa with golden spires that overlooks the Kathmandu Valley and provides stunning views of the city.
(Duration of sightseeing: Up to 6 hours after the car leaves the hotel.)
Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara (210 km)
Today, embark on a picturesque drive to Pokhara, which is 210 kilometers away from Kathmandu and takes around 7 hours to get there. Perched at 2,352 feet above sea level, Pokhara provides breathtaking views over the town, particularly during clear weather, and may be seen from your accommodation. You can choose to visit the Manakamana Temple, also called the “Goddess of Fulfilling Wishes,” which is reachable by a 10-minute cable car trip (INR 550 per person), or go river rafting for an exhilarating adventure (INR 2000 per person). Spend the night at your Pokhara hotel.
Day 4: Pokhara
Begin your day with a trip to Sarangkot, a well-known vantage point only 13 kilometers from Pokhara. Sarangkot provides breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain ranges and the Pokhara Valley. On clear days, you may get expansive views of the Annapurna range to the north and the Dhaulagiri range to the west, making it the ideal location for sunrises. You can reach the summit at 1592m after a 45–60 minute drive from Pokhara, where the experience is enhanced by the cooler weather. The duration of the visit is approximately three hours.
Next, pay homage to Goddess Durga at Bindebasini Temple, one of Pokhara’s oldest temples. On clear days, the temple, which is in the center of the old bazaar, provides tranquility and stunning views of the Himalayas.
After that, visit the neighboring Gupteshwor Cave, which is renowned for its natural limestone formations, and Devi’s Fall (Patale Chhango), a breathtaking waterfall. It is forbidden to take pictures within the cave. Additionally, after the car arrives at the hotel, the sightseeing will continue for no more than three hours.
Spend the night in Pokhara.
Day 5: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Take the beautiful trip back to Kathmandu and check into your hotel when you get there. You can engage in leisure activities for the remainder of the day. You can try your luck at one of Kathmandu’s casinos or shop in the local markets. Spend the night at the hotel.
