Day 1: Arrival in Madurai
Get to your accommodation after arriving in Madurai early in the morning. Explore important sites including Meenakshi Temple, Gandhi Museum, Alagarkoil Temple, Aayarikal Mandapam, and Vaigai Dam during the day after a leisurely breakfast. Enjoy some free time in the evening to go shopping (at your own expense).
Day 2: Madurai to Rameswaram
We leave for Rameswaram, a significant stop on the Ramayan trail, after an early breakfast. The renowned “Ram Setu” (Adam’s Bridge), the revered Ramanathaswamy Temple, one of the Char Dham temples, and the twelve Jyotirlingas are the main attractions of Rameswaram. Explore the town at your leisure during the day. Spend the night in Rameswaram.
Day 3: Rameswaram
Visit important locations such as the Ramanathaswamy Temple, Gandamadana Parvatham, Ram Tirtham, Hanuman Temple, Ram Setu, and Dhanushkodi (in a local car) after breakfast. Spend the day discovering these hallowed sites. Spend the night in Rameswaram.
Day 4: Rameswaram to Madurai / Coimbatore
Drive back to Madurai for your next destination after breakfast. For Lanka Kand (the Seventh Chapter of Ramayana), you can also choose to continue the Ramayan Trail to Sri Lanka. You will be taken to the International Airport, finish the immigration process, and catch a flight to Colombo if you choose Sri Lanka. Jai Shri Ram!
