Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
Our office person will greet you when you arrive at the airport. Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, serves as the Kingdom’s center of politics and culture. You will be taken to your hotel for check-in as soon as you arrive.
Day 2: Kathmandu City Tour
One of the most revered Hindu locations in Nepal, Pashupatinath Temple, will be your first stop this morning. The seat of the national deity, Lord Pashupatinath, is housed in this revered temple on the banks of the Bagmati River, which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We will next proceed to Bouddhanath Stupa, a popular Buddhist pilgrimage destination renowned for its enormous stupa and lively ambiance.
We will then travel to Patan, sometimes called Lalitpur, which is renowned for its stunning architecture and historic temples. Temples abound in Patan’s Durbar Square, which also has a Tibetan refugee center where you may purchase exquisite Tibetan carpets.
The Monkey Temple, also called Swayambhunath, which offers stunning vistas of the Kathmandu Valley, will be our final stop. Two recognizable images of Nepal are the golden spire and the Buddha’s painted eyes.
(After the car leaves the hotel, the sightseeing excursion lasts no more than six hours.)
Day 3: Kathmandu – Chandragiri Hills (Cable Car Experience)
We’ll take you on a beautiful trip this morning to Chandragiri Hills, which is about 17 kilometers southwest of Kathmandu. At 2,551 meters, the hill provides stunning sweeping views of the whole Kathmandu Valley, from Annapurna to Everest, encircled by verdant forests and snow-capped Himalayan peaks.
The Chandragiri Cable Car (INR 800 per person, payable directly) will transport you to the summit of the hill once you arrive at Thankot. Opening in 2016, the cable car system is a 2.4-kilometer (9,095-foot) gondola lift that provides breathtaking vistas as you rise.
Following your tour of Chandragiri Hills, we’ll take you to Thamel, Kathmandu’s bustling tourist district, where you may browse neighborhood stores and eateries.
(The sightseeing excursion lasts no more than six hours after the car leaves the hotel.)
