Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
  • Office staff will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel when you arrive. Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, is the nation’s political and cultural center. The city is a combination of the two ancient regions of Kathmandu and Patan, which combined comprise the contemporary metropolitan sprawl.
  • After a brief rest at the hotel, proceed for a visit to Pashupatinath, a significant Hindu cultural site in Nepal. Located on the banks of the Bagmati River, 5 kilometers northeast of Kathmandu, the Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest temples for Hindus. Dedicated to Lord Pashupatinath, the national deity, this temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. The sprawling temple complex consists of temples, ashrams, and sacred inscriptions built over centuries along the sacred Bagmati River. You will also have the opportunity to observe the holy saddhus (priests) performing their prayers.
