Day 1: Arrival and Evening Ganga Aarti in Varanasi

You will be taken to your hotel for check-in when you arrive at Varanasi Airport in the afternoon. After enjoying a tranquil boat ride at the renowned Dashashwamedh Ghat on the Ganges River later in the evening, take in the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremony. Legend has it that the most famous ghat in Varanasi, Dashashwamedh Ghat, was built by Lord Brahma as a tribute to Lord Shiva and is well-known for its enthralling spiritual ambiance. Go to Varanasi and stay the night.

(Note: Boating, nighttime Ganga Aarti, and airport arrival are all covered by vehicle service.)

Visit the revered Kashi Vishwanath, Annapurna Mandir, Kala Bhairav Mandir, Sankat Mochan Mandir, Durga Mandir, and Tulsi Manas Mandir to begin your day early in Varanasi. Discover the cultural significance of the renowned Benaras Hindu University (BHU). Travel to Sarnath, the hallowed location where Gautam Buddha gave his first sermon upon enlightenment, after breakfast. Explore the Sarnath Museum, which houses the Mahabodhi Society Temple, ancient ruins, and Emperor Ashoka’s carved National Emblem of India. Spend the night in Varanasi and take advantage of the free evening.

After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Prayagraj, a historic city known as Prayag, meaning “place of offerings,” located at the sacred confluence (Sangam) of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Sarasvati rivers. Prayagraj, one of India’s oldest cities, has been a central figure in Hindu mythology, cultural development, and Indian history.
